The Great St Albans Challenge – a fun-filled community adventure in support of Youth Talk

The Great St Albans Challenge is back – and we’re going bigger, better and bolder for 2025! This unique, community-driven event is the brainchild of local entrepreneur and business leader Peter Barker – created as a powerful way to unite the community, raise awareness of a vital local charity and demonstrate how purpose-led business can help drive real social impact.

In it’s very first year in 2024, over 500 amazing locals got involved, exploring St Albans, solving clues and raising funds for a fantastic cause. It was such a success, we couldn’t not do it again!

The event is proudly delivered by Community Challenge Events, in partnership with the brilliant team at Youth Talk and a group of passionate local businesses who help bring it all to life.

At its heart, the Challenge is about giving people a great day out while raising awareness, support and funds for Youth Talk - a vital local charity offering free, confidential counselling to 13–25-year-olds. The need for their services has never been greater, and every step you take helps support a young person who’s struggling.

So, round up your friends, family or colleagues and come and be part of something special. It’s fun, it’s local, it’s feel-good - and it really does make a difference.
